SHORT HISTORY OF ZUMBA

Alberto Perez, known as BETO, created the Zumba fitness program in
his native country of Colombia in the mid 1990's.
Luckily-and accidentally-one day Beto faced a big challenge that made
him to improvise a new type of class. Dancing the traditional Latin music
and well-known dance movements laid the foundation for the most
popular fitness class in the health club, where Alberto Perez was teaching
at.  This incident, connected with a lack of a regular music plate one
day-led to the birth of a new fitness program, then called "Rumbacize".

In 1999 new fitness style was brought to the United States.
As the result of the cooperation between Beto and entrepreneurs Alberto
Perlman and Alberto Aghion- the global wide company has been created
based on Beto 's fitness philosophy.The last, the name of class has been  
changed for ZUMBA , that is popular nowadays all over the world!!!

The Zumba Formula Makes Zumba unique and revolutionary in the
Fitness world. There are three elements to the Zumba Formula. Each
element in itself is NOT unique. But when you combine 3 elements of the
Zumba formula, the result is a chemical reaction- an explosion of a new
firness experience!

1.MUSIC-is the key to Zumba.Zumba use unique innovative, original
music. Often times the music is designed especially for Zumba. As music
evolves and changes, so does Zumba. Zumba's primary focus on music is
the key to the fun, leading edge, and long-term elelemnts of Zumba.

2.Zumba steps- While the basic Zumba steps are not unique to fitness or
dance, the methodical, effective modifications and the use of these
Zumba Basic Steps are very distinguish. Beto applied a formula to each
basic movement to add variety using a systematic approach. The system
makes it extremely simple for instructors to create choreography that is
fun, easy-to-follow and really effective.

3.CHOREOGRAPHY-as music artists group their message using verse
and chorus along with bridges, tags, and interludes, Zumba dances follow
that same originally-intended format to create dances that also have both
structure, and recognition(repetition).
